Woodlands Forest School is a private K-6 elementary school located in The Woodlands, which draws inspiration from nature. Our educational approach is centered around Forest School principles, project-based learning, and the Waldorf-inspired philosophy.

Mommy and Me

Recognizing the importance of conscious and respectful support for our little ones during early childhood, we provide options for families seeking to engage with their children. We offer one or two weekly sessions designed for parents with children aged 18 months & 2 years old.

During these sessions, we build a loving bridge through experiences that encourage exploration, curiosity, and free movement. We follow a gentle rhythm that nurtures a gradual transition into school life.

Early Childhood

Multi grade classroom. Young children live with wonder, seeing beauty and purpose in everything around them. They are naturally curious about what the world has to offer, and this innate sense of curiosity allows them to embrace the world with open arms. Children learn by observing and then by imitating, which is why we create opportunities for them to 

Our preschool grades free play, singing, games, puppetry, crafts, painting, cooking, gardening, and exploring the forest are all natural activities for children of this age. The strong foundation for acquiring knowledge later on is built through imitative play. This philosophy is at the heart of Woodlands Forest School’s. Program for 3- 4- and 5-year-olds. We believe in nurturing their natural curiosity, allowing them to explore, learn, and grow through hands-on experiences and play-based learning.

At this stage, our students embark on a journey of motor skill development, both gross and fine, with the ultimate goal of preparing them for the exciting world of literacy at the age of five. Nurturing and refining motor skills at this critical stage sets a strong foundation for their future academic success. By age five, they will seamlessly transition into the beginning stages of literacy, ensuring a well-rounded and comprehensive educational experience.
