Sea Center Texas

Sea Center Texas is a marine aquarium, fish hatchery and education center located on 75 acres in Lake Jackson, Texas. It is operated by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in partnership with the Coastal Conservation Association, The Dow Chemical Company and US Fish and Wildlife Service Sportfish Restoration Funds. The facility opened in 1996 and includes a visitor center with aquaria and exhibits of Texas marine life, the largest redfish hatchery in the world, 36 one-acre fish culture ponds, an outdoor wetland exhibit and a youth fishing pond.

Lake Jackson Historical Museum

Walk through time and discover the unique past of the City of Lake Jackson. Learn the history of the city from the man who designed it, fly the Windecker Eagle, or catch a flick in our Lake Theater exhibit!

Center for the Arts & Sciences

Just an hour from downtown Houston and minutes from the Gulf of Mexico, The Center for the Arts & Sciences is full of exhibits and fun activities for the whole family. The easy-to-find attraction is near Highway 288, a popular route to both Surfside Beach and Quintana Beach.

Inside The Center, visitors will discover a natural science museum, an art studio and gallery, a full-dome planetarium and two performing arts theaters. The Center is open to the public year-round, Tuesday through Saturday, and is only minutes away from other museums, great restaurants and plentiful accommodations.

The Center for the Arts & Sciences is located less than 10 miles inland from our local beaches. Since the building opened in 1976, the heritage, talents and history of the area have all been on display.
