The mission of Sherwood Forest Camp is to deliver a week of such profoundly positive experience to our Campers that they will fondly recall the memories for the rest of their lives!

All of our hands-on activities take place in our 25-acre medieval village. Campers will be transported back in time to a world of knights, ladies, and a simpler way of life. No modern entertainment devices are available. Trust us, this works out just fine.

Every member of the Sherwood Forest Camp team undergoes a strict screening and application process, background check, and is required to participate in Child Safety Awareness Training. Members of our healthcare team are on site 24/7, we have first aid and CPR trained staff, and our pool is closely monitored by a certified lifeguard. Meals are prepared by food industry professionals and we are fully state certified.

Each class endeavors to teach the Camper a usable skill and/or to take home an object of their own creation.

Sherwood Forest Summer Camp Accommodations

Sherwood Castle is an indoor, climate-controlled environment with bunk beds. The Castle houses around 80 campers.

The Merry Folk Pavilions are large, military-grade tents that stand over a raised wooden platform. They are insulated and climate controlled. The Pavilions house up to 30 campers each.

In both sleeping areas, campers sleep on bunk beds with twin-sized foam pads.

Sleeping accommodations will be assigned by camp staff based on clan size and camper age.

Campers aged 10 and under are automatically assigned to the Castle.

Sleeping accommodations are gender neutral and campers are monitored around the clock.

Sherwood Forest Summer Camp Schedule

We will have 4 sessions of 6 nights each. Campers are dropped off on Sundays and picked up on Saturdays.

A typical camper day includes attending 5-6 classes, 3 healthy meals, a snack and an evening activity or entertainment of some kind after dinner. Campers end their day with a shower and bedtime story.

Bridge Campers

If campers are attending multiple sessions consecutively, they can stay with us on that “bridge” Saturday night and enjoy extra-special activities as well as some unstructured time. We’ll do their laundry, too. There is no charge for the extra day or for the laundry service – in fact, you’ll get a multisession discount!

Adult Summer Camp

June 13-15, 2025

Sherwood Forest Summer Camp offers adults age 21+ the opportunity to learn skills and crafts of the renaissance era. Each camper will receive 3 hours of instruction in 6 different courses during their camp adventure. The event spans 3 days, and in addition to the course instruction, campers will enjoy 3 high-quality meals, some time for relaxation or cooling off in the pool each day, and of course revelry at Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem at night!
