Fort Bend Museum Field Trips

The Fort Bend Museum is rooted in preservation and storytelling. Education is central to our mission, and we have developed a program that creates a connection between Fort County children and history though historically accurate, immersive experiences. We support educators through TEKS aligned hands-on learning opportunities.

Programs are offered between 10am and 2pm and are scheduled on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Can’t make it to the museum? Let the museum come to you? The Fort bend Museum is now offering Museum on the Move, a traveling interactive history experience.

Fort Bend Museum Summer Camps

Are you a summer camp looking for something to do this Spring Break? Join us at the Fort Bend Museum for a week of hands-on history activities for guests of all ages. In addition to exploring our historic homes and museum gallery, guests can travel back in time and experience life as a pioneer, take a lesson in our one-room school, play old-fashioned games, and more!

Summer 2024

This year, we celebrate diversity by highlighting some of the first settlers whose culture influenced Fort Bend County. With a specific focus on Indigenous peoples of Texas, Africa, Czechoslovakia, and Germany, each week will include an informational area and exhibit to guide visitors through their culture along with a hands on activity.
