Center Of Developmental Pediatrics was Founded in 2015, Center of Developmental Pediatrics is owned and operated by Becky Mahalec, OTR. 

Becky has been a pediatric Occupational Therapist for 23 years, graduating from Texas Woman’s University and their OT program in 1999. She has worked in various settings including outpatient therapy clinics, a decade at Texas Children’s Hospital and multiple private schools in the area. She is certified in the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests, Integrated Listening Systems, and Neurodevelopmental Therapy. Since starting CDP, Becky has grown her practice to now 2 incredible locations both in the Houston and Katy areas. The amazing OTs also service contracted private schools and ABA clinics.  

We are a private, pediatric occupational therapy clinic located near the Galleria area. Our unique, holistic and compassionate approach allows our children and families to grow and achieve success in their daily lives. We typically see children birth through 15 with a variety of developmental difficulties including Autism, gross and fine motor delays, learning deficits, handwriting and visual motor deficits, ADHD/ADD, social/emotional and behavioral challenges along with sensory processing delays. Our comprehensive evaluations lead to an individualized treatment plan for your child and family. 

In addition, we are blessed to educate and provide services at nearby private schools and are located in the same building as an amazing speech group. We believe in having fun, making a difference with each and every child and guiding our families through this journey!

Center of Developmental Pediatrics is a pediatric occupational therapy clinic that prides itself on providing up-to-date research-based therapies with a holistic understanding of development. Our outstanding, loving and caring OTs bring their education and expertise to assist with evaluation, individualized treatment plans, training, education and collaboration with families in every client we see. We utilize a sensory integration approach to promote success in areas including gross and fine motor development, attention, self-regulation, behavior, sensory processing skills, academics and social/emotional growth. CDP Occupational Therapy services babies through adolescent ages and treats children both in the clinic, schools and ABA clinics we service.
