Science Summer Camp Schedule:
2 Sessions:
June 8, 2020 & June 15, 2020
Day 1
- Rock Climbing Lesson
- Houston Museum of Natural Science
- Scuba Diving lesson
Day 2
- Texas A&M University Medical School
- Learn about Nuclear Power and get an up-close look at a working nuclear reactor
- Stephen Hawking Auditorium
1. Cold-Physics Presentation by professors in the Physics Department
2. Chemistry Department where the students will be given a great Chemistry Show…Sparks will fly
Day 3: Full Day Of Camp With An Overnight Stay:
- Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels for a day of breathtaking rides, cool streams, and entertainment.
- Later, we will be staying at the Exotic Resort Zoo in Johnson City where llamas, camels, and all kinds of exotic animals come right to the fence at our log cabins
- We’ll have a huge bonfire that night and a great pool.
- After a bit of settling in, we’re off to the Country Cupboard in Johnson City. After dinner, we have a real treat in store to top off the evening.
Day 4: Heading into Johnson City to visit:
- The Science Mill, the best hands-on science experience in Texas.
- Wimberley Zip-Line. Here trained professionals will take us on a Zip-line tour over the Texas Hill Country.Emphasis will be placed on ecology, safety, and fun.
Day 5: Starting off in Galveston for this last day of the camp:
- Explore Galveston Bay by Boat
During this time, we will investigate the physical, chemical, and biological processes which make estuaries such highly productive systems.
- I-Fly to some real aerodynamics
In addition to the joy of “FLYING,” our kids will do some real Aerodynamic calculations on things like rubber balls and bears

ALL of our Camp Coordinators are Certified GT/HONORS LEVEL Science Teachers
